Hey there! Today we’re sewing up a new pattern for an adorable fabric basket just in time for Easter!
I have the perfect fabric for an Easter basket, so thought I’d share a tutorial with you. This fabric basket is easy enough for any beginner and involves just a tiny bit of quilting. I promise you it won't be scary. If you can sew a straight line, you can quilt this basket!
But this basket doesn't have to be limited to Easter. The handle is optional, too!
Think about presenting gifts with a custom fabric basket - house warming gift, fill it with toys for kids, spa essentials, baby gift for a new mom...fill it with onesies, bottles and diapers! Use it to organize spaces around your house.
I'm not kidding when I say this is a great project for a beginner!

Supplies & Suggestions
Supplies you will need:
- Sewing machine
- Rotary Cutter/Mat
- 18” (inches) square for outer fabric (My Snoopy fabric from Hobby Lobby)
- 18” square for inner fabric (Easter fabric from Joann Fabrics)
- 19” square of batting
- 3.5” x 18” for fabric handle
- 1” x 18” of batting for handle
- Tailors chalk or Frixion pen for marking
- Coordinating thread
- Quilting ruler
